Day job/career: Director of Admissions and Marketing at Zion Lutheran School Belleville. I work with new and potential families, guiding them through the admissions & enrollment process at ZLS, while also supporting all marketing and communications efforts for the school. My background includes 15+ years working in non-profit communications, marketing and event management.
How did you become involved with OCL? I was fortunate enough to receive the gift of CST training in October 2017 and it really impacted my life from that moment on. Whether it is listening to the needs of parents regarding the education of their children, or using the skills in my own home, being a wife and mother to three, this course has the power to change relationships for the better, starting with ourselves.
What is your hope for OCL? My hope is that this listening movement reaches every corner of the world because I truly believe these skills can change people and change communities – all for the better. So many problems facing our society can be improved or maybe even alleviated if people used these skills and lived out truly human leadership, always remembering that everybody matters.
Three things that make you smile. Three things that make me smile are the smiling faces looking back at me from my husband and three children, influencing people in a way that they know how important they are and the significant role they play in the lives of others, and lastly, I get a huge grin across my face when the St. Louis Blues get a win!
