Day job/career After 20 years of working in Corporate America, I was blessed to be able to stay home with my then, nine-year-old daughter. Consequently, I was deemed the “Family Manager” and am responsible for everything and everybody. It’s more work than Corporate America ever was, but it’s so rewarding!

How did you become involved with OCL? During a conversation with Shalia Ford-Director of Youth Leadership & Emerging Leaders at FOCUS St. Louis, she mentioned completing the OCL class, which was why she was out of the office when I called.  Her excitement regarding how eye opening the class was and the impact it’s had on her communication with others intrigued me. I immediately went to the website and signed up for the class and I can honestly say it was the most impactful three days of my life!

What is your hope for OCL?That the message of listening continues to reach people around the world, imparting insight and inspiring change.
