Day job/ career: Operations & Programming Support Leader for Our Community Listens Michigan
How did you become involved with Our Community Listens? I was approached to help handle logistics for a couple of classes. I loved the message and seeing the life changes in participants is amazing, so I stuck around. Now it’s a full-time job!
What is your hope for Our Community Listens? My hope for Our Community Listens is that we continue to spread through families. One of my favorite things is when I see an application come through from a family member of a participant. Knowing they were so impacted that their spouse or child just had to sign up really solidifies my belief that the concepts taught can change families.
How do you most often find yourself using what you learned in CST? With family. By now most of my family has attended the training, and with this shared knowledge we even managed a week-long vacation with both sets of in-laws – in the same house!
What are three things you would take with you on a deserted island? Coffee, dark chocolate, and my Bible.
