Day job/ career:
I am the Chapter Leader for Our Community Listens Michigan.
How did you become involved with Our Community Listens?
I attended one of the first Our Community Listens classes in Midland while I was the Executive Director for our local YWCA. The class had a positive impact on my personal relationships and wanted to help others have that same experience.
What is your hope for Our Community Listens?
My hope for Our Community Listens is that it can transform our world. That the skills taught can revolutionize the way we interact with people; the way we listen and connect with the people that we care about the most.
How do you most often find yourself using what you learned in CST?
I utilize the skills most often when coaching employees and my children. I flex to their needs to help them grow and make a positive difference in their lives.
What is your idea of a great day?
My idea of a great day is spent relaxing in a lounge chair at the beach under an umbrella with my husband. My kids are splashing in the water, laughing, and having a great time.
