Day job/career: Youth Minister Coordinator at Christ Episcopal Church in Charlotte, NC and Head Counselor of High School age students at Camp DeSoto, in Mentone, AL
How did you become involved with OCL? I attended the class in 2014 at Christ Church, and it transformed my life and every relationship I had for the better. A couple of years later I asked to become a professor so I could share with others what it had done for me, especially in my parenting and my work with teenagers.
How do you most often find yourself using what you learned in CST? It is my privilege to work with teenagers, therefore knowing how to listen reflectively while quieting the heart and mind has deepened my relationships with them and my sons, which has built an invaluable trust and rapport as I walk along side them in their spiritual journey. All the skills we learn in CST show us how to love others and ourselves well.
