Strategic Engagement Leader

How did you become involved with OCL? While vacationing at a fitness spa in Baja California, Mexico, I met Julie Chapman, chapter leader for OCL Charleston. We both lived in Mount Pleasant, SC but had not crossed paths until this trip. Julie told me about OCL and I had the opportunity to take the course a few months later. I was struck by the power of the skills I learned and level of continued support offered post-course. From there, I was hooked!

How do you most often find yourself using what you learned in CST? The thing that has stuck with me most is the gift I can give others by truly listening. Awareness of “how I listen” has been heightened and I can quickly get myself back on track when I misstep.

Three things that make you smile. Standard poodles, especially when recently groomed. An unexpected call from a friend I haven’t talked to in a while. A really good hug from someone I love.

Your idea of a great day: Start the day with an early morning hike, followed by a big breakfast – my favorite meal! Schedule time to relax with a massage, then lunch and meaningful conversation with a friend at a French bistro. In the evening, dining with my significant other and live music to end the night.
